Play? Why is it fast becoming a leader in
the industry?
Planned
Play is an educational and organized planned play program for ages
four months up to six years and their parents. We offer a special
program that promotes self-expression and fosters positive self-esteem
through play. Planned
Play encourages physical development and building social skills while
bouncing, climbing, jumping, dancing and singing in our studio filled
with soft, safe, child-sized equipment.
Planned
Play is fast becoming a leader in the industry because of it’s unique combination
of play and education. The program is designed to educate the parents

6. What are the
fees involved in starting a Planned
Play franchise?
The costs of starting a Planned

type of real estate chosen and the cost of build-out associated and includes
an initial franchise fee. This includes everything you need to open a Planned
Play Studio for a one-site territory. (Includes but not limited to: franchise
fee, equipment, marketing materials, studio location and set-up, insurance,
training, computer and software, etc.) In addition, franchisees pay a monthly
royalty fee equal to 4-6% of the monthly gross revenues (3-12 months-4%, 13-24
months-5%, 25-84 months-6% and 85-120 months-5%) and a monthly advertising
fee of 1% of gross revenues. Your investment covers the license to use trade
names, lease assistance, initial construction and space planning, operations,
manuals, training, and continuing assistance and support.
7. How much space
do I need? What do you look for when scouting locations?
A Planned
Play studio should be from 3,000 to 3,400 square feet and have ample parking.
An ideal size for a studio is approximately 3,200 sq ft. When scouting locations,
areas that have a population of at least 30,000 children under the age of six,
and areas that have a median household income of at least $65,000/year is ideal.
Although the final decision is up to the franchisee, Planned
